- You can access the International application form, student handbook, fees and charges schedule and prospectus from our website or from TAF appointed agent.
- The course fees includes the application fees.
- Submit your application form along with:
Certified/Original copy of Passport
Certified/Original copy of visa (if apply onshore),
Certified/Original copies of IELTs results ( if applicable)
Certified/Original copy of Certificate of Secondary School or year 12 or equivalent. ( if applicable)
Certified/Original copy of previous cancelled CoE and/or Letter of Release (if applying onshore and changing provider within 6 months of completion of the primary course)
Health cover - Use the checklist at the end of the application form in order to ensure you have provided all documents.
- TAF staff will conduct a Pre-training interview as part of the enrolment process. This is to ensure that the course you have selected is suitable for you and meets your goals. The pre-training interview can be conducted either face to face or by a telephone interview.
- You will also need to complete a Language Literacy and Numeracy test. This test helps us check whether you have adequate skills and abilities to meet the requirements of your desired training program
- Student Services & Records Manager (SSR) will assess the requirements of your previous educational qualifications according to the student visa requirements using the the link provided below https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/web-evidentiary-tool
- If the applicant’s educational qualifications do not meet TAF’s admission requirements, other factors may be considered at the discretion of TAF’s and in accordance with entry requirements of course(s) as per the training package. These other factors may include:
Mature age
Work experience
Attitude and aptitude
Previous academic results
Ability and skills to function in an academic environment
Possibility to succeed in his/her academic endeavours - SSR will assess whether the student is required to provide evidence of IELTS or its equivalence to meet their visa requirements. SSR will assess the requirements of individual students by checking the link provided below https://immi.homeaffairs.gov.au/visas/web-evidentiary-tool
- If it is a requirement of your visa to provide a verified IELTS score or equivalence and you are not able to, you will be advised to provide evidence or enrol in an English (ELICOS) course for an appropriate duration to achieve the required language proficiency level.
- If you wish to apply for Credits/RPL, you will need to provide documentary evidence. Refer to Credits and RPL section under the ‘International Student handbook’.
- Once TAF receives all the documents and the course has been deemed suitable for you, TAF will issue ‘letter of offer and written agreement’ to you or your agent.
- You must carefully go through the ‘letter of offer and written agreement’ as it is a legally binding document. Please ensure to read the Appendix A and Appendix B attached along with your offer. Initial each page and sign the last page of the document.
- Submit the ‘letter of offer and written agreement’ along with the fees mentioned on the document. (Note Send a proof of payment along with the offer)
- Once TAF receives the ‘letter of offer and written agreement’ along with the fees, TAF will issue and send you or your agent the Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) from PRISMS.

Training Australia First (TAF) delivers nationally recognised qualifications through face-to-face training and/or workplace-based delivery.
Throughout your course, your Trainer/Assessor will provide academic support and guidance. Students may attend scheduled classroom sessions, participate in workplace visits (where applicable), and contact their Trainer/Assessor via phone or email for support.
Step 1: Pre-Training Review (Course Suitability)
Prior to enrolment and before any fees are collected, TAF will conduct a Pre-Training Review to:
- Determine whether the course is suitable for your interests, career goals and job outcomes
- Identify any entry requirements or prerequisites
- Identify any support needs or reasonable adjustment requirements
- Assess your ability to successfully complete the qualification
During this stage, you will be provided with:
- Domestic Student Handbook (including policies and procedures)
- Prospectus
- Fees and Charges Schedule
- Information about your rights and obligations
- Information about TAF’s obligations
- Information about support services available
- Information about the Unique Student Identifier (USI)
Step 2: Application Requirements
If the course is considered suitable, you will be required to:
- Complete and sign an Application Form
- Complete a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) assessment (and digital literacy check where required)
- Provide your USI (TAF cannot issue certification without a valid and verified USI)
- Provide one document as evidence of eligibility to study as a domestic student in Australia (e.g. green Medicare card, Australian birth certificate, passport/visa, or other relevant documentation)
- Meet the specific entry requirements of the course (as outlined in the Prospectus and on the TAF website)
TAF has mapped LLN requirements against the ACSF levels applicable to each qualification to ensure students have the required foundation skills.
Step 3: Assessment of Application
Once all documents are received:
- TAF will review your Application Form
- LLN results will be assessed
- Entry requirements will be confirmed
- Any required reasonable adjustments will be documented in an Individual Learning Plan (ILP)
You will be informed of the outcome of your application.
If you do not meet the course requirements, you will be advised in writing.
Step 4: Letter of Offer and Written Agreement
If deemed suitable, TAF will issue:
- A Domestic Letter of Offer
- A Written Agreement
- A Payment Plan (where applicable)
You must:
- Read the Letter of Offer and Written Agreement carefully (this is a legally binding document)
- Sign the agreement and payment plan
- Make payments in accordance with the agreed terms
A copy of the signed agreement will be provided to you.
Step 5: Enrolment Confirmation
Once the signed agreement and payment arrangements are finalised:
- Your enrolment will be processed in VETtrak
- Your USI will be verified
- You will receive an Enrolment Letter confirming your intake and orientation details
Step 6: Orientation (Mandatory)
Orientation is mandatory for all students.
If you are unable to attend the scheduled orientation session, you must notify TAF and an alternative session will be arranged.
Orientation provides important information regarding:
- Course structure
- Assessment requirements
- Support services
- Complaints and appeals
- Course progress requirements
- Workplace health and safety (where applicable)
